How to get to the Island
Most people who come to Vis travel by plane to Split. Almost all major European airlines fly directly during the summer season. From the airport you have to find your way to the harbour in Split. A taxi takes approximately 40 minutes and 300 HRK. A shuttle bus leaves just outside the terminal and brings you directly to the harbour. The Jadrolinija Ferry leaves Split twice a day to the Island of Vis. Around 11.00 hours and 18.30 hours.
Make sure to check your connection time, Split can be super warm during the summer. The passage to Vis takes about two and a half hours and costs circa 55 HRK. During the summer you can also catch the Krilo Catamaran, make sure to check their schedule, they leave at different times almost every day. We recommend the Jadrolinija, with beautiful weather (which is actually every day) it is great to sit on the outer deck and smell the salty air. A great start for a great vacation!
